1988 was an auspicious year for Porsche with the momentous occasion of the 250-thousandth Porsche 911 to roll off the production line. To commemorate this event, Porsche produced a run of 875 cars called "Commemorative Special Edition" 911's. Available as a Coupe, Cabriolet, or Targa, the Commemorative Special Edition Porsche featured Ferry Porsche's signature on the headrest, was finished only in a Diamond Blue Metallic exterior accented by color keyed wheel centers and special Silver Blue partial Leather interior with luxury carpet treatment on the inside. Testifying to its unique status is a special edition plaque which can be personalized with the owners name.
